Elizabeth Kennedy Bayer

Born: October 28, 1984

Current Location: Tempe, AZ



Elizabeth Kennedy Bayer began her composition career with Scott McAllister (Black Dog, Tarkus, X) at Baylor University in Waco, TX in 2005. She is now pursuing her master’s degree in composition at Arizona State University. She has since studied with Rodney Rogers, Roshanne Etezady and Glen Hackbarth. Her music ranges from solo vocal works to odd ensembles consisting of saxophones, double basses and sleigh bells to jazz arrangements and orchestra works. Elizabeth frequently uses her own text when creating vocal pieces. She is currently working on a piece with a double woodwind quintet, vocal octet and electronics that focuses on the process of discovering mortality.

Hermes Camacho

Born: March 12, 1982

Current Location: Austin, TX



A native of California, Hermes Camacho is currently a doctoral student at The Universityof Texas at Austin, studying composition with Donald Grantham, Yevgeniy Sharlat, and Dan Welcher. He previously earned degrees in music from the University of Colorado (M.M.) and Cal State Long Beach (B.M.). Recent notables include awards from SCI/ASCAP, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Vermont Arts Council, ArtsAha! (Iron Composer), the Dallas Wind Symphony, and 60×60, as well as composer residencies with the Boulder Youth Symphony and Chamber Music Conference of the East. Every summer, Hermes serves on the faculty of the Sacramento Youth Symphony Chamber Music Workshop, conducting and coaching strings. Hermes and his wife reside in Austin, Texas, where he spends his spare time following the ups and downs of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers and harassing the family cats, Mango and Nigel.

Jacob Gotlib

Born: March 30, 1984

Current Location: Buffalo, NY



Jacob Gotlib was born and raised in Louisville, KY, and has written for instruments, electronics, dance, and multimedia.  His music is regularly played at festivals around North America and Europe, most recently at the Small Music Theatre (Athens, Greece), SEAMUS 2009 (Ft. Wayne, IN), The New York City Electronic Music Festival, and Akademic Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart, Germany).

Jacob has studied at the Oberlin Conservatory, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and currently at the University of Buffalo.
