Bio:

Pierce Gradone (*1986) is a composer of acoustic and electronic music for dance, film, and concert performance.  As a double bassist, he is strong proponent of new music, premiering multiple chamber, orchestral, and solo works by living composers.  A Florida native, Gradone began his composition studies at the Florida State University with Ladislav Kubik and Clifton Callender, where he received the prestigious Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Award for Holy Thursday, a song for soprano and large orchestra.  Currently, he resides in Austin, Texas, where he is a graduate student in composition at the University of  Texas.  His works have been performed by the University of Texas New Music Ensemble, the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra.
